CHEGGERS IS A CROSS CHAMPION!!!!

Abergavenny Road Club member Meg “Cheggers” James was crowned 2016 British U16 Cyclocross Champion last weekend.

After she got off to a perfect start, Meg led her race until he finish and said afterwards “It was amazing and a complete shock which I didn’t expect at all. “I am speechless, I didn’t want to go out too hard and saved something for the end which worked.”

Sister Ffion came 4th in the inaugral Womens U12 race, while club members Paul Crapper and Justin Harrington (Seniors), Joe Beckingsale, Aled Trott and Tom Crapper (Juniors) competed with great enthusiasm depite the atrocious weather conditions in Shrewsbury.

All of the riders were supported by a great team of club volunteers
